Notions of slow design have grounded my work throughout this project and as I began creating design concepts I realized I needed to outline what attributes were required for an ideas to be considered "slow". Some of these are taken from Slow Design theory and others are related to my research.
- Allows for accumulation and reflection
- Temporally slow to arrive to receiver (not synchronous)
- Opportunity for contemplation by sender (and possibly receiver)
- Shows time and effort spent
- Must not directly duplicate faster options (not slow for the sake of slow)
